At Drive Forward Jax, we celebrate the spirit of classic cars and the memories they hold. Many of our donors in Jacksonville have cherished vehicles that encapsulate decades of automotive history. Whether it’s a family heirloom or a classic ride you've restored, your donation goes further than just a tax deduction—it helps support our community programs.
Imagine your 1967 Ford Mustang or 1970 Dodge Challenger turning into a lifeline for families facing challenges. Every classic car donated contributes to local initiatives that uplift those in need, making a tangible difference while preserving the legacy of automotive craftsmanship.

How pickup works
For classic car donations, we prioritize the safe and secure transport of your vehicle. An enclosed transport trailer is strongly preferred, especially for higher-value donations. Our team will coordinate the pickup directly with you, ensuring that your cherished classic is handled with care. Depending on the vehicle’s condition and your preference, we can arrange for either flatbed transport or a drive-away option. We’ll also assist with the necessary storage-lot coordination if needed, making the process as seamless as possible.
What drives donation value
The value of your classic car donation is influenced by several key factors. Vehicles with documented provenance, original drivetrains, and matching-numbers distinctions command higher appraisals. Additionally, the condition, including 'barn find' patina, and whether the car is a convertible can significantly impact value. For a qualified appraisal, we'll need to complete IRS Form 8283 Section B, and we recommend consulting resources like the Hagerty or Sports Car Market guide for pricing benchmarks.
Documentation you need

Jacksonville specifics
In Jacksonville, classic cars must be properly titled according to Florida DMV regulations. Ensure your vehicle title is clear and in your name before donation. Florida allows for vehicle transfers via bill-of-sale in certain situations, but we recommend having a title for smoother processing. Local regulations regarding the transfer of ownership are straightforward, making it easier for donors to support our cause and ensure their vehicles find great new homes.
